Mark Oliver
Mark Oliver is a Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Clinical Professor at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Melbourne and the University of Melbourne, Victoria.
He has worked at the RCH for the past 30 years as a full-time clinician, a part -time educator and researcher. He completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney and undertook his clinical and research training at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Alberta Children’s Hospital, and the GI Research group in Calgary, Canada. Where he completed his doctorate in mucosal immunology and motility.
On returning from Canada, he was appointed as the lead Gastroenterologist in the Cystic Fibrosis Service. He has contributed significantly to this service and acts as an advocate for liver and multiple organ transplant for this population. He has collaborated internationally, nationally and locally in several studies and has published widely in this area.
